Subluxation Station

We utilize innovative chiropractic technology to measure the effects of stress in your life and are CLA INSiGHT ™ Certified!

What does the Subluxation Station consist of?

It is a computerized, non-invasive and painless test consisting of thermal scanner surface electromyology (SEMG) and the pulse wave profiler.

Why should I get my nervous system scanned?

These scans are beneficial in that they recognize abnormal function.  X-ray does not pick up this atypical function.  Any subluxation (stress) on your nervous system will be identified on the scan.  The scan will show how the subluxation is affecting your organs, glands, muscles & energy level.

How will I benefit?

The subluxation station will give you a picture of how chiropractic care can help you.

Will the scan hurt?

No it will not.  The patient will only feel the instrument touching their skin. These scans are safe for pregnant woman, children, and infants.

Thermal Scan:

The temperature radiating off of both sides of your spine will be measured. The autonomic nervous system is in control of your skin temperature.  The autonomic nervous system controls things like breathing, heart rate, and digestion, all are functions we do not have to think about.   Research, conducted at Johns Hopkins University, shows that the body temperature on the left and right sides of your spine should be equal. Variations in body temperature from one side of your spine to the other signifies stress on your autonomic nerves (Subluxation).  Recognizing the level of stress allows us to verify what organs may be affected.

Surface Electromyograph (SEMG):

SEMG determines the function of your motor nerves. Muscles and movement are controlled by this portion of the nervous system. More electrical activity recognized the more your muscles contract. The amount of muscle spasms, weakness, or fatigue will be measured and this will indicate the amount stress put on your nervous system. This stress is caused by Subluxation. Too much or too little electrical activity in your muscles can cause postural imbalances.

Each color represents differing amounts of nervous system disturbance.

Pulse Wave Profiler:

The Insight Pulse Wave Profiler allows us to monitor the autonomic nervous system in different way by collecting Heart Rate Variability (HRV) data. This is a unique, extremely exciting, and powerful tool for the chiropractor. Heart Rate Variability is the beat-to-beat variation in heart rate. This natural rise and fall of heart rate is caused by several physiologic phenomena, including breathing and autonomic nervous system activity.  Chiropractors use HRV to get a window into how the autonomic nervous system (ANS) modulates heart rate in the baseline or resting state. Published research has demonstrated that chiropractic adjustments have favorable effects on HRV parameters. Now you can bring this important fact to light for patients right in your office. This technology has perfected the clinical application of reliable HRV measurements for chiropractic applications. For the first time, instead of measuring parameters on or around the spine, we are able to directly measure the effect of chiropractic care on the function of a vital organ. This significant “proof point” catalyzes a patient’s understanding of the whole body health benefits of chiropractic care.

We use Rocket Science!

Connected Spine is part of an increasing number of high tech chiropractic offices who have super charged their level of care to improve patient assessment and health.  You have the opportunity to have your nervous system examined by the Insight Subluxation StationTM.   This technology is a non-invasive neuro-spinal screening originally designed to measure changes in the spinal muscles of astronauts as a result of space flight.  The scan only takes minutes it is a painless and economical way to assess the function of your nervous system.

Dr. McBride utilizes the InsightTM technology to assist in measuring nerve interference along the spine (subluxation).  Nerve interference interrupts normal nerve function of muscles in which can further health problems.  The Insight Subluxation StationTM measures the nerve interference and charts it.  This technology helps identify accurately when and where you need adjusted, allowing for increased precision in diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.

The InsightTM technologyhas received the highly regarded, exclusive recognition of a Certified Space TechnologyTM from The Space Foundation, in cooperation with NASA.
